Thomas Hales

Thomas Hales is a fiction writer who built the Generate Your Character tool. He wanted one place to combine common personality systems for characters — 16-type, the Enneagram, the Big Five, attachment patterns, defense mechanisms, thinking biases, stress responses, and values.

The result is a free, browser-based generator that runs entirely client-side. No accounts, no AI calls, and nothing you enter is sent to a server — the only external request is Cloudflare's cookieless analytics. Every profile comes from plain randomised logic in the browser, which keeps the output private and inspectable, and writers can copy it straight into their notes, worldbuilding documents, or character sheets.

Thomas writes fiction and builds small tools for people who make characters. He is interested in how personality systems overlap and contradict each other, and how those tensions map onto believable characters rather than tidy abstractions.
